The Inter-American Restoration Corporation The Inter-American Restoration Corporation came into existence in 2002 to facilitate ministry. The organization’s greatest motivating factor was to improve people’s medical and living conditions in impoverished communities. IRC did this by enlisting and equipping groups of volunteers from the United States to serve those communities through short term mission trips. Members of the IRC board were already heavily involved in short-term missions through TORCH Missions and the two organizations established a partnership to further their goals. Through the two-week trips, both board members and volunteers realized that more help was needed on a full-time basis and projects were born to aid ongoing work in Honduras, Haiti, Guyana, Brazil, Nicaragua, and Guatemala. We have since expanded our efforts to Africa, working in both Sierra Leona and Monrovia, as well as providing disaster relief within the United States. Our mission as an organization is built on a three-fold strategy – provide resources, build relationships, and restore communities.
