This contractor currently has 4 active disputes on Angie's List and 3 unresolved complaints at the BBB this year. I had them put a metal roof on my home in 2011 and the experience with Robert Brewster, owner, of Maximus Metal Roofing was a total nightmare. Once he gets all your money you are lucky to ever see him again. Getting him back to fix the problems he creates seems to be a problem for many customers. From reading reviews on Angie's List and talking to other customers, once he gets your money, it is very hard to get a hold of him. He does not respond to phone calls or emails. He installed a metal roof on my house in Sept. 2011 and after he got all my money on the 3rd day it took him 6 weeks to come back and put in another screw of a loose piece of metal. I do not believe he has finished the job properly. He intentionally installed the gutter guard on the back of my house upside down in spite of instructions on the gutter guard on how it was to be installed. He said he thought it would better the way he put it on - but it DOES NOT. He once said he would come turn it over, but has refused to respond to my emails or phone calls since September. It is now December. Angie's List now has a note on Mximus Metal Roofing's report page that either the owner or a key employee of the company has been charge with a felony. They also have a note that this contractor is lacking the Alabama Residential Home Builders License required to perform its trade. Avoid this contractor.

I am always skeptical with people who alter or repair my house. Often, they charge more than what their service deserves. When I had my roof replaced because a tree fell on it, I had to check on 3 contractors - Maximus being the last one. The first two gave me high quotations, but Robert, the owner of Maximus, gave me not just a quotation. He gave me an assurance that my roof will be better than what I used to have, plus he gave me a timeframe as to when everything will be done. He sound so sure with the way his business operates, and I was impressed, and he didn't fail me. Ian and his crew came to work on my roof as scheduled, and boy, did they really work. They got everything covered within the schedule, and I am so impressed! I am so pleased with the quality of their work! With Maximus, I'll never have an issue with where my hard-earned money goes.

The crew of Maximus did my metal roof professionally. Initially, I called Robert, the owner, and he gave me a pleasant no-fuss service - asked details, answered my questions, and gave me a quotation after they checked my roof. When the crew was done with their job, he and Ian (the crew leader) inspected it again to make sure that everything was is place. It was awesome. The best service I've ever had!
