Our job is providing access modifications for people who have barriers affecting their activities of daily living. We earned the Certified-Aging-in-Place Specialist (CAPS) designation in 2007 from the National Association Of Homebuilders (NAHB) providing us with the basic knowledge and tools to provide aging in place modifications for seniors. We quickly learned there are many people in our communities facing barriers to their activities of daily living and there was not a "how to" book with all of the answers for each person's unique situation.
