While they are a bit pricey, I was very happy with the work performed of grinding out a stump and installing a new tree. Except for looking better, you could not even tell work had been done. Fast, Friendly, and Efficient. Grade: A.
My estimate contained some outrageous prices for things I could do myself, so I only approved the stump grind and the tree install. No revised estimate was provided.
Pricing for this kind of work is all around high. Grade: C.
My invoice that they expected me to pay included $100 for the stump grinding that was listed as $50 on the estimate. I made the appropriate adjustments, remitted payment, and called the office to advise. The woman on the other end first informed me that the extra charges were due to Tax! Then, she stated she was looking at the Invoice and asked where I got my estimate figure that was causing me agitation; even as it should have been part of their records, I included a copy of my estimate with my remittance.
Charging customers double for a service because they might pay without reading the details of the invoice is Unacceptable Business! Grade: F.
