Because I had polio as a child, I am in a wheel chair and searched for a contractor who specialized in mobility solutions. I met with the owner, Brett Duke, and although his bid was higher than the others I had received, I thought his experience and speciality was a plus. He installed a handicapped shower for me May, 2012. I was very pleased with his work and the shower. Verbally he had assurred me that customer satisfaction was a priority. About 3 weeks after the initial installation, I contacted him about installing an additional grab bar in the shower for my safety, and I wanted him to look at a rust stain in the shower-apparently coming from a grab bar. I was uncertain what could be used to remove it. I made numerous phone calls and sent e-mails-Brett did not contact me, though his wife responded and assured me that Brett would be contacting me. Last week the final response said that "it is too expensive to drive that far for one grab bar"-- according to directions on line, I am 26.05 miles away- no mention was made of the stain. The website states that although the company "extends personal service throughout the entire state of Texas ....however, the primary service includes a 150 mile radius."I was surprised and disappointed about response to the follow up request. I have now contacted another contractor to install the additional grab bar, and I have talked with the manager of Home Depot and have received some suggestions about removing the rust stain.
