The name for our store was chosen because I, the owner of this site, lived in Texas throughout my childhood. No matter where we lived, the houses all seemed to have a back door opening into the kitchen. If there came a knock at the front door, we knew it had to be someone we didn't know - friends, neighbors and family always came to the Back Door, where there was always something cooking ~ thus became BackDoorCooking.com.
