I would not recommend G.R.S. roofing to anyone. They never put new materials that suppose to be done plus other issues. I have tried many times to contact them and no one will return my calls. That is a key to bad business when this happens. I will have to get someone else to complete my job. They are other people in my subdivision that has been done the way as me, L.A

I DO NOT RECOMMEND G.R.S. ROOFING
Total reroof was done Oct. 12, 2012 paid in full. They have replaced 70 poorly installed shingles on 3 different occasions, Real Sad. Newest problem now, GRS installers only put 3/8"- 5/16" and even no overhang on the starting shingles causing water to run behind the gutters dripping behind the gutters and getting behind the fascia trim soaking the wood. Our 14 year old roof was trouble free, never did have drip edge, didn't need it because the old shingles were properly installed. There are other problems they are aware of also. Tired of all the repairs, we paid for a new roof, but as of May 3, 2013 we can't get what we paid for almost 7 months ago.
Unhappy Cash paying customer.

We would not recommend GRS roofing either. The owner of this company says that they will work on your behalf to get you the maximum that is owed to you by your ins. Co. If you don't have a full replacement policy, this may be true. However, most homeowners carry a 100% full replacement policy, as we have thru Safeco Ins. When our home incurred hail damage on 4/16/13 Safeco awarded us $4.73/sq.ft. For our existing aluminum siding. Since we had aluminum siding, and it costs more to replace this siding, we should have been getting a high grade of vinyl siding for this sq.ft. allowance. The owner of GRS wanted to put on builder grade vinyl siding at $.49 sq.ft. as he said this is what he works with because it can be snipped and installed quicker. Of course we rejected this cheap material and asked him to bid on a much higher quality siding, Royal Haven, an insulated siding equal to Craneboard. His biggest competitor in our neighborhood, whom he told us were "Storm Chasers" have been using Craneboard on all of their jobs. We waited for the bid from GRS but it never came. We decided to go with another contractor, as he gave us a bid in 1 hr. competitive with our ins award. When we asked for our ~$6600 deposit back, the owner said it was not his protocol to let customers out of deals, if he did, he wouldn't be in business very long. He says he's entitled to this for securing our insurance claim amount of ~$21K, Safeco never heard of GRS. He says it's entitlement, we say it's theft!
