I've been working in this field for decades and have zeroed in on Alterations as one of my favorite aspects. I enjoy the challenge of making an existing garment or item, "work" for the client. Everything from adjusting the length on a new wedding dress to re vamping a vintage wedding dress of the grandmas, to make it fit the new bride! I love the process. I'm also enjoying using my years of knitting experience, to assist clients with their hand knits. Many people get the pieces knit and don't know the techniques necessary for finishing them. I'll complete the project, or teach the skills so the client has the satisfaction of finishing their own work.
