Lynn of Nana's New Beginning has been making handcrafted dolls her whole life, from Holly Hobby dolls to Cabbage Patch dolls. The newest form of handcrafted dolls is called Reborns, which are dolls that look like real babies. Most of the Reborn dolls that I have seen look like dolls, but the reborn dolls that Lynn has made look so real that people do not believe that they are dolls. She spends hours painting the skin tone in several layers and then many more hours rooting each individual hair. Then she puts the whole doll together and they look so real, its incredible. It takes an average of 65 hours to make one Reborn doll and she makes sure that every detail is there, from the veins to the finger nails. Take a look at her website and you'll see what I mean. You may find Reborn dolls cheaper, but you won't find a cheaper one that looks and feels as real as the dolls that Lynn makes.
