At Foundations for Change, we use various therapeutic techniques to focus on changing thoughts, feelings and behaviors in a positive manner. Therapy can make a dramatic difference in our lives. It can't change the difficult incident or event that happened but it can help us understand the situation better and learn how to respond in a healthier way. It can also help us turn challenges into learning experiences, from which to draw strength and wisdom in the future. At Foundations for Change, we believe that building on the strengths that individuals and families have is the best approach to create the positive change they desire. The therapists at Foundations for Change use a strength based approach to working with clients. Using techniques from Attachment Focused Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Systems Theory, the therapists focus on changing thoughts, feelings, and behaviors in a positive manner.
