Certified copyeditor specializing in academic and literary publications, web site content, and business collateral. B.A.-English; Music, and MSEd. If you need a copyeditor who can help you achieve clarity in the language and content of your writing projects, without destroying the integrity of your style, you have come to the right place. I have specialized in copyediting for more than twenty-five years, and my work is precise. I provide personalized services at reasonable rates, and the initial consultation is free.
I am proud to introduce my freelance copyediting business and to share with you my expertise as an editor. I also teach English and writing classes, and like most teachers of English, I find myself performing additional job tasks. Copyediting is one such job, and I am one such copyeditor. I know how to generate style sheets and electronic style guides, format a variety of documents, and manipulate the English language to facilitate clear, concise communication that is grammatically correct.
I have created, managed, designed, developed, edited, and maintained a variety of projects that have required research, writing, and editing skills. These projects include essays, reports and abstracts; grants, proposals, and agendas; procedural and training programs and manuals; newsletters, feature articles, and press releases; portfolios, web pages, and graphic design; event flyers, pamphlets, and programs; as well as resumes, cover letters, and query letters.
I have also written award-winning lessons in addition to curriculum guides and technology integration plans. My leadership roles have been as technology and project coordinator, English department and school site council chairperson, and school-site representative for district level strategic thinking, planning, and restructuring groups.
As a professional, I bring more than twenty-five years experience to my copyediting business, and I guarantee quality work. As a copyeditor, I bring to all projects my knowledge of English and writing, and my ability to synthesize and create coherent content from chaotic prose. I work well with people, I love working with writers, and I look forward to working with you.
