In the heart of Arcata, California is Om Shala Yoga, a thriving yoga school that also offers sauna, massage and a boutique! Om Shala Yoga is loving owned and operated by two local yoga teachers April Martin and Peggy Profant - who strive to build a beautiful, warm, and inviting space where people are welcome to come practice yoga, meet each other, and build community. We chose our name as a reflection of our goals: "Om" is considered to be the universal sound, harmonizing and including everything that exists, and "Shala" translates to "school" or "home," with all the connotations of the places you love the most. We approach everything we do with the concept of community-building in mind: from the classes we offer, to the comfy seating in the lounge, to what we choose to sell in our Om Shala Yoga Boutique. We want your experience here at Om Shala Yoga to be as happy and joyful for you as it is for us!
