Medical records include paper documents such as physician consultations, procedure reports, pathology reports, operative reports, EKG, hospital discharge summaries, medication lists. Medical records also include imaging studies such as MRI, CAT scan, X ray, ultrasound, mammogram, bone scan, PET scan and cardiac stress test and their accompanying reports. Once these reports and imaging studies are received they are digitized and stored for the long term. Patient and physician accounts are set up so that the reports and the imaging studies can be viewed online 24 X 7. The records nan also be saved onto a computer desk top or hospital network.
