Ben teaches privately, and is also currently on the faculty at New York Conservatory of Music, Little Red School House (LREI), and 92nd Street Y.

Ben studied classical guitar and composition in Sydney, Australia, subsequently lecturing in electronic music at his alma mater. Choosing to follow his beautiful wife (then fiance) across the world to NYC (by way of Minnesota), he now performs regularly in addition to his teaching. Choosing to follow his beautiful wife (then fiance) across the world to NYC (by way of Minnesota), he now performs regularly in addition to his teaching. Over the last ten years, Ben has performed for indoor and outdoor weddings, private parties, business conferences, government functions and classical recitals. He has toured Australia with rock bands and choirs, performed in musical theater orchestras, and continues to accompany singers and other instrumentalists. He held a year-long twice weekly solo performance residency at a luxury hotel in Sydney, and a weekly performance residency in New York accompanying a jazz singer.
