Be a Certified Nursing Assistant in just 4 weeks for $475 Established in 1997, DeKalb Education Center specializes in training allied health care professionals to give quality care to individuals in need of services. The Certified Nursing Assistant course is designed to train healthcare professionals who will provide basic care to patients. The class is 4 weeks; 3 weeks in class and 1 week in hands on training at a local nursing home. Students will be trained to take vital signs with accuracy, bed making and assisting clients with activities of daily living. Those activities include but are not limited to feeding, dressing and toileting. This course is an introduction to the profession of nursing. Upon successful completion of the program, individuals are eligible to sit for the state nurse aide exam.
