I want to warn you about Joe Installs and NOT TO PAY FOR ANY JOB IN ADVANCE because they take your money and don't finish. I typically would never pay for a job in advance and when a company requires it, usually that is a red flag not to work with them. I went against my better judgement and took a leap of faith paying Joe Installs in advance. First let me start by saying that I paid Joe Installs around $20K and while many installers discount equipment Joe did not offer any discount on the audio components. I didn’t complain and just wanted the job completed properly, however I think that consumers should expect a discount of 10% to 20%. I had other installers that did a much better job for me and they gave a 20% to 30% discount on all equipment. 1) The music doesn’t work at all in two of our kids rooms and now Joe wants to charge more to come back and fix it. 2) Joe installed a TV in our bathroom and used the wrong mount so that the TV can’t tilt far enough to watch it straight on. You can only watch this TV at a 45 degree angle because the mount doesn’t tilt to the degree necessary. What’s worse is the mess of wires hanging in the back of the TV and as a result of the sloppy installation the TV doesn’t work anymore. Of course Joe blames us for pulling the wires!
