Simple Shower Surround Gone Wrong Our experience with Floor Décor and More started off really well. I cannot say enough about Renee in the office but other than that… Our final outcome was really horrible. The first issue was that their contractor dropped a tool on our bathtub which broke some ceramic off and left bare metal. Instead of telling us what he had done he took off to Lowe’s for a $6 patch in hopes he could repair it before we noticed (that patch would not match our tub and after spending over a grand on new tile I didn’t want an ugly patched bathtub). After he left, my husband went to check his work and noticed cracked tiles, tiles cut wrong and some that were crooked and not level. With the guy gone the tiles ended up drying to the adhesive that way. That was 2 days into the job. We called about it and said we did not want the patch used and that some tiles would need to be redone since they were not applied correctly. The owner had the audacity to actually blame us for this because we did not check his “professionals” work before it all dried. Maybe that is how it is supposed to work, but no one asked us to check it and we hired them so we wouldn’t have to check it. We trusted them to do it right the first time. Big mistake. Maybe if the installer hadn’t snuck out to buy patch he could have asked us to check it. So now it’s going to be a 3-day job. Ok fine, we take another day off of work to accommodate that.
