Gallagher School of Guitar & Drums provides private guitar and drum lessons and serve as mentors for guiding individuals through their music practice. We specialize in: * Teaching students HOW to practice their instruments effectively, so they can enjoy real-time music performance results * Teaching the fundamentals of guitar and drum set technique * Guiding students to develop their authentic connection with music * Working with beginners and continuing learners * Using music resources for enhancing music literacy, performance, improvisation, and practice * A professional teaching artist network that strives to accommodate developing guitarists and drummers in the city of Chicago and beyond. Since 2008, we've been serving the communities of Chicago by offering private music instruction for individuals who play guitar and drum set. The Gallagher School of Guitar & Drums was started by Dave Gallagher and Jamie Gallagher, who are brothers, professional musicians, and long-standing teaching artists. We've come to value a high standard of music education- a process that cultivates a learning experience for students where practice efforts and resourcefulness yields actual playing ability for them on their instruments. In September of 2014, the Gallagher School relocated to Chicago's West Loop neighborhood. We look forward to helping and guiding more music students in Chicago! Dave Gallagher and Jamie Gallagher are brothers, professional musicians, and long-standing music teaching artists. We represent a network of dedicated teachers around Chicago, and provide resources for developing musicians.
