The Alaska Raptor Center is a rehabilitation center for injured or sick raptors (birds of prey). Many difference species of birds reside at the Alaska Raptor Center including American Bald Eagles, Golden Eagles, Great-Horned Owls, Snowy Owls, Western Screech Owls, Great Gray Owls, Northern Saw Whet Owls, Peregrine Falcons, Ravens, Red-Tailed Hawks, and Swainson's Hawks.

Occasionally severe injuries, genetic defects, and other complications prevent certain raptors from being released. These birds then become permanent residents at the Raptor Center. Each bird that is admitted to the Alaska Raptor Center is well cared for and loved by our wonderful staff, veterinarians, and volunteers
