Apartments feature full kitchens, individual washer/dryers, and walk-in closets. ASSISTED LIVING: designed for folks who can live on their own for the most part but who need some help with day-to-day activities such as dressing, bathing, medication management or other personal services. One and two bedroom apartments feature kitchenettes and walk-in closets. REHABILITATION & HEALTH CARE: for residents who can benefit from health care during a recovery or a long-term stay. Private and semi-private rooms feature private baths and windows for an abundance of natural light. Speech, Occupational, and physical therapy services are available in the communities spacious therapy gym. Prairie Vista Village is a new continuing care retirement community in Altoona, Iowa. The community was developed by Scenic Development and is managed by Pivotal Health Care. The principals have over seventy years of combined experience and have built and currently manage multiple senior living projects across the midwest. The principals are Gib Wood CEO of Scenic Development, Scott Gulledge, CEO of Pivotal Health Care, LLC, and Wayne Anderson, Vice President. Gilbert (Gib) Wood, of Olathe, Kansas, has been an owner of Scenic Living Communities, Inc., since 1977, serving on the Board of Directors since 1997. Gib oversees project development including land acquisition, design, and construction for Scenic Development. He is also the managing partner of SLC Development Company, LLC.
