Unfortunately, things went very sour with this contractor. If you decide to use him, make sure ALL communication is documented because if there is an issue, he will deny the truth, blame you for issues, and then refuse to fix what he caused unless you agree to pay more. Even with a mediator, he will not concede. I did most communication with him via text, but the 2 things we talked about directly were what became lies. He also left me with minor drywall repairs where my vanity and door molding were removed for the project. He refused to fix them without additional compensation stating that it happened during the job, therefore he is not responsible. Excuse me, but isn't it expected that when you remove something from the wall, it will cause some damage? That should be taken into consideration when a quote is given! So, now I have to pay someone else to redo what I already paid him to do, but he left the floor damaged and will not fix it.
