I received my home inspection training from the American Home Inspection Training Institute (AHIT) and have continued to educate myself through professional development opportunities after receiving my certification. I am also an associate member of the American Society of Home Inspectors and Cedar Rapids Area Association of Realtors. I have a bachelor's degree in music education from the University of Northern Iowa and have taught instrumental music in Cedar Rapids since 1999. I am currently employed 1/2 time so that I may persue my home inspection career. My education and teaching background allows me to easily communicate with clients and educate them on the quality of their potential home. I also have a background in residential construction that started with helping my father flip houses in high school. I have remodeled my house from top to bottom; inside and out so my knowledge of building materials and methods is sound. I have always had a love for construction and real estate so home inspection is a natural extension.
