I also work with individuals affected by schizophrenia, schizoaffective, attachment issues, PTSD, anxiety, abuse & assault, dissociative disorders, psychosis, and related issues & diagnosable psychiatric "disorders". Counseling with individuals is collaborative. Your plan for treatment is developed from your identified issues and goals. In the course of treatment we will focus on your relationships since the complexity and intensity of many of our challenges are manifested and/or rooted in relationship. Every individual has the capacity to make decisions to accept and change the most complex, painful, or disturbing challenges in their lives. In the counseling office I rely heavily on your abilities and strengths, and help you discover these qualities if you have lost sight of them. My therapeutic approach relies heavily not only on my knowledge, training, and expertise, but more importantly on my client's willingness to rely on their existing capacity to affect realistic outcomes.
