Cape Cod Mommies began with an idea back in 2010 after local moms found that the support of a local weekly support group was paramount in helping them successfully navigate the beginning of parenthood. We developed into a virtual support network that features a dynamic blog as well as a healthy local calendar with events, resources and more! Empowerment & Strength for A Supportive Motherhood. The blog features an amazing panel of local Experts in different fields who share their expertise with our community. We have Advisers from multiple fields including but not limited to: pediatric sleep coach, therapist, nutritionist, finances, speech & language, literacy experts and more! They are constantly adding to this team and feature series from their Advisers on important topics such as child sex abuse, the importance of family, navigating divorce and separation, just to name a few. The blog also features local moms who contribute anything from recipes, crafts, reviews, and their own personal stories as well! The current celebrity focused culture creates a judgmental attitude towards mothers, where they imply that if you do not attain perfection as a mother or physically as a woman then you are a failure. We wanted to create a true safe haven for moms to know they aren't alone in the obstacles they face everyday, it is okay to not be perfect and you are NOT alone. We seek to empower and support our fellow sisters as we journey through motherhood together because we all have the same goal: "Raising Good Children".
