At Guiding Hands Midwifery, from the moment you step into our small private practice office you will know it is different. The quiet environment is conducive to a good experience. Our patients have 30 minute visits with their midwife, during that time we discuss upcoming changes they will be experiencing and make recommendations for wellness. There will be plenty of time for questions and discussion. The midwife you see for prenatal care will be the same midwife at the hospital caring for you. Walking in the halls with you, rubbing your back, suggesting a bath. We promote natural childbirth, with the freedom to choose the birth position of your choice. You will love Bergan's "sacred hour", your baby will not be taken "for just a minute" for assessments; but instead lay on your chest to breastfeed and bond. Our midwives also provide gynecological and well woman services. IUD or Nexplanon insertion or removal and prescriptions for birth control. We share office space with Dr. Dan Kirsch and this ob/gyn is available for other procedures outside our scope of practice.
