From Keurig coffee while you wait to the entertainment in our operatories, we need our patients to be comfortable from the moment they enter our facility to the time they leave! While we do our best to take care of all of your issues ourselves, we certainly do know our limitations and work with certain specialists for more complex cases. You may see something listed here that we do, however no one will really know what is in your best interest until you sit down with one of our doctors to thoroughly go over a treatment plan with you. Dr. Paul Shahwan is the founder of Crescent Dental. He was born and raised in Arlington, Texas. After completing his undergraduate degree at the University of Texas at Arlington, he attended Baylor Colege of Dentistry in Dallas, Texas where he earned his Doctorate of Dental Surgery. In 2011, he and his wife moved down to New Braunfels bringing with them their three kids - a German Shepherd named Heidi, English Bulldog named Monkey and Great Dane named Wolf. In August 2013, they welcomed their first human child to add to the growing family and, again, added to the pack in 2016. Dr. Shahwan is always looking for ways to get involved in the community and has made a habit of helping Boys Scouts earn their merit badges in Dentistry! During his downtime, Dr. Shahwan is always looking for a new project. Remodeling projects, building furniture, creating websites...there is always something to occupy his time. It's probably because he watches the DIY Network too much.
