Would strongly recommend NOT taking your child to this center. The director is money-hungry and she will drill you for tuition the minute you walk in the door. Also, they teacher turnover rate is nearly 100% since they opened. I am curious as to why they are leaving and after speaking with 1, her reason for leaving does not match the reason the director, Linda, gave us. I have caught her in a lie more than once and it frightened me. The main reason I pulled my child is because Linda, the director, brought in a new teacher the SAME DAY her existing teacher quit. I find it very hard to believe this person got sufficient background checks and training. When we gave her our notice, she was defensive, confrontational, and tried to blame employees for things that only she has done. STRONGLY recommend finding another center for your child.

John Smith, Since you opened this dialogue I would like to respond. Your comments are very open lacking specifics. I happen to know that the center in general provided a safe, healthy happy environment where the children felt loved and cared about. Where each morning children were encouraged to tell their parents "I love you and Have a good day", Where every morning hands are washed to the ABC's. Where the children smile and feel loved. Can You state honestly that your child did not receive the same kind of TLC that you yourself would bestow on them? The Motto of Building Blocks since its inception has always been That children are not just a number and that they count. The child's value is priceless, At Building blocks it was a privilege to care for those children. As for the staff leaving the reasons varied, most of it was centered he said she said drama, that should have ended in high school. Finally the tuition you spoke of is what maintained the salaries of the staff, food and supplies for the children, including birthday cakes, birthday presents, children's formulas, diaper wipes, Christmas gifts for children and staff who were considered extended family. What other centers do you of that went that far to make you feel valued? Now as far as staff was concerned some were exceptional and in my opinion none touch them in performance and professionalism. I would like to take a moment to write some words regarding Building Blocks Child Development Center, its directors and its staff. The moment my husband and I walked in to check out the facility, we were greeted with a warm welcoming smile and handshake. We had no appointment and were not made to feel that we were interrupting anything. Mr. Keith and Mrs. Linda took the time to show us around the facility room by room. They explained the security measures in place, where the kid's laundry is done when they make a mess, where they have their play time, and the procedures to change the children's diapers and how to wash hands after. My son now sings the ABC's every time we wash hands, and he did not learn that from us. I have popped in numerous times unannounced to visit and see how my child was warming up to the change of a new environment, never having been in day care before, and never saw anything that alarmed me. The processes and structures that I was made aware of prior to deciding to put my child in that day care were still being followed. Every morning the children were encouraged to say "Bye, I love you!" to their mommy and daddy. The children were always happy, laughing and playing (unless one may have been sad to see mommy and daddy go, or they had a boo-boo).
