One night, I received a telephone call from my brother who was showing great signs of anxiety as his son was found to be an alcoholic and a drug addict. He wept over the telephone out of despair. I advised him to be brave and to find him the best treatment for his problems. Next morning, I visited his place in California and took him directly to Newport Academy where, he was examined thoroughly and was advised to get admitted at the Boys Residential Center. We did accordingly because we wanted a total cure for the poor boy. We were assured to get good results shortly. We got a call from the Academy after three months, and we were asked to visit our child there. On our visit, we seemed to notice an amazing change in the behavior of our child. He was much better then. He was advised to stay there for another 3 months. These six months changed the entire course of life for Patric and today, he is absolutely free from all signs of drug abuse, or any other behavioral issues. It has been a great experience coming in touch with Newport Academy and their treatment programs. We approached them when we found out that our son has been taking drugs. It was a tough decision sending him away to their residential treatment program but it was for his good.
