Happy Dave is a schooled, professional career piercer based at Ink Spot Tattoo who focuses on quality piercing and quality aftercare for his clients. While anyone can claim to be a professional body piercer due to the lack of training requirements in Illinois, Happy Dave is a schooled, full time piercer. While focusing his talents solely on body piercing, Happy Dave is able to provide the best quality body jewelry and allows him to take the time to instruct his clients on hygienic aftercare. Happy Dave began his career at Tatu Tattoo in Chicago, learning his trade under a master piercer. He received professional training at the Gauntlet training facility in San Francisco and continues to return to his mentor for continuing education. He is an advocate for safer piercing, holding seminars for the Chicago Recovery Alliance, The School of the Art Institute and for Performance Artists. Based at Ink Spot Tattoo in Melrose Park, IL., Happy Dave applies his knowledge and dedication to safe body piercing to a varied range of clients, from entertainers such as Kill Hannah to upscale urban professionals. In addition to providing a quality finished product, he truly feels that it is a pleasure to serve his clients. His gentle approach and compassionate bedside manner encourages a pleasant piercing experience.
