got his name from Google, read his great reviews, and gave him a call at 9am. (Most computer repair shops in Tacoma don't open until 10 or 11.) He called me back immediately and set up an appointment for 1pm. He was ready when I arrived (he works out of his home), and listened carefully as I explained what we had already tried. I had already talked to CyberPowerPC Support and they had been unable to help. I left the computer with him and went to run some errands. Less than an hour later he called and said it was fixed. When I picked it up he showed me what he had done, explained why, and charged me $40--which I thought was very fair for his time and expertise. He also installed a folder with several files and links to help me maintain my computer. He's a friendly guy who really knows computers; I highly recommend him.
