Once he took a look at the lock, he informed me that it was a cheap counterfeit and that’s why it had been damaged so easily due to the rough handling. I felt completely stupid, having wasted 50 bucks on a useless lock. Eddie reassured me that he would fix the genuine one at a lesser price – and so he did. We needed a deadbolt installed from scratch on a hollow metal door and metal frame and after looking around with no luck to have someone install the thing, Dave was all "no problem" and quoted a very fair price, So we go with State Locksmith Services. He banged it out in no time at all and was such a sweet guy (and a cutie) that I was a little bummed he was done so quickly. We have a dog who is kind of a pest (read: a really mouthy little pest...lol) and most strangers who come by to do work in our house find him at least mildly annoying (with good reason.) When I saw all the amazing reviews, I thought ""can a locksmith really be this great?"" Yes. They Can. I got locked out of my apartment the other night, with a busted doorknob that wouldn't turn. State Locksmith Services had a bunch of other jobs but made sure to keep in touch with me and let me know what time he'd be there. Showed up in an hour and within 10 minutes, my door was opened. And he completely fixed my doorknob all for under $100 late night. Mike the tech doesn't want to rip you off, and you can tell he really wants to do a great job and be friendly while also helping the customer out.
