The damage was done. The new lock I purchased from the hardware store with an intention to install it myself was now ruined. Defeated, I surfed the web and found https://www.Dayton.Lock-Key-Shop.com. Eddie got there in minutes. Once he took a look at the lock, he informed me that it was a cheap counterfeit and that’s why it had been damaged so easily due to the rough handling. I felt completely stupid, having wasted 50 bucks on a useless lock. Eddie reassured me that he would fix the genuine one at a lesser price – and so he did. Wish I’d hired Lock & Key Shop in the first place, instead of wasting my time dabbling in stuff that was beyond me. If you live in Dayton , OH, hire them – they’re EXCELLENT!!!

As unnerving as it was, I kept my cool and turned to Lock & Key Shop for help with the lockout. Despite being busy, they managed to send a team over to my location right away for assistance. Jack unlocked the car in a jiffy, and also fixed the faulty remote key, so I could be on my way. If not for them, I’d probably have been left waiting for hours for help. What a nice guy. Gorge called me back within about 20 minutes of speaking with the dispatcher. He quickly identified the solution -- one that I could tackle more quickly on my own.
