The technician was very friendly, quick with the job and charged me a reasonable fee. Wish I’d found them sooner! It was only when the regular locksmith I hired bailed on me, that I started looking on the web for help and landed up on https://www.MountainView.City-Locksmith-Shop.com! I'm right there with everyone else - City Locksmith Shop absolutely deserves their great ratings. After I had my purse stolen - with wallet and keys inside - I was dreading having to call around and figure out a locksmith to come and replace my locks. When I called Shon, they didn't have as many reviews here yet (this was over a year ago), but those that were there were good, so I gave them a shot. And I'm so happy I did - Shon was able to come by first thing the next day, and this was after contacting them late in the evening. Fast, punctual, professional, honest about prices - and on top of all this which I would consider quite enough to earn the 5 stars - he was super nice to my little niece and roommate's dog who were fascinated by what he was doing. What more could you ask for?

The ignition cylinder in my car was broken and wouldn't turn, preventing it from starting. After calling around, Paul by far sounded the most friendly & knowledgable, so I decided to give them try. James came in a short amount of time and was finished working in under an hour. He even had a great sense of humor and had me laughing while he worked. My wife lost the key and fob to my car. This was the 4th business I called to get a quote to come out and reprogram a key and key fob. Dave came out within 45 minutes of my call. He quickly got to work and asked if I wanted the key fob as well and showed me the same type I had before. The whole service was about half of what the 3 other places quoted me. I’d just evicted a tenant and needed the lock changed. When I called them up on 650-651-3441 and asked them to help me install a new lock I’d purchased from the nearby hardware shop, little did I expect them to get there so fast. I think the technician arrived in about ten minutes! Wow, that was super quick! Anyway, once I showed him the lock I needed installed, Eric from City Locksmith Shop told me that it wasn’t a great one and the existing one would do a better job at securing my property. I couldn’t believe it! I’d just paid $100 for it, and Eric dismissed it as something completely useless. That’s when he explained how a DIY rekeyable lock wasn’t great for security. If you could do it, anyone could do it – that’s what he said! He had a point! I planned on returning the lock. Eric suggested that I rekey the existing the lock, which I did! Thanks to Eric and his entire team at City Locksmith Shop for helping me out! You guys surely are the best in Mountain View, CA!! Would I recommend them? YES!
