Robert H. Butcher, Jr. founded Butcher's Block & Building Materials on September 1, 1980. The company started out very small with only 2 employees, Bob Butcher being one of them. Since that time, the company has grown from a small lumber yard into one of the largest in the area. Bob Butcher worked hard running Butcher's Block every day, until his untimely death in December of 2007.
