I am an artist who specializes in digital photography, and works mainly with landscapes, wildlife, and abstracts. I enjoy the interplay of light with my subject, and strive to capture the mood as well as the image.  My goal is for my pictures to make a connection with the viewer - to draw them in, and allow them to see the setting as if they were there. I make every attempt to get the image right, in camera, and use editing software sparingly to make each shot look as I remember it.  Whil...

I am an artist who specializes in digital photography, and works mainly with landscapes, wildlife, and abstracts. I enjoy the interplay of light with my subject, and strive to capture the mood as well as the image.  My goal is for my pictures to make a connection with the viewer - to draw them in, and allow them to see the setting as if they were there. I make every attempt to get the image right, in camera, and use editing software sparingly to make each shot look as I remember it.  While not formally schooled as a photographer, I have benefited greatly from training with Gary Hart in Northern California, and with Cindy Goeddel in Wyoming. In addition, I am always studying new techniques and learning from other artists.  Some of my photographs have received recognition in competitions with photographers around the world at the Light, Space and Time Online Gallery. In addition, I have received both a blue ribbon and honorable mention at the Sacramento County Fair. I have stood in wonder and awe, watching the beauty of the world around us.
