I began making Cancer Awareness Caps for my best friend Marie. One week before we would realize we would lose her on April 12, 2013, while she was in the hospital being brave and courageous I made her a cap and surprised her with it and she adored it, it made her so happy. I continue in her memory and I add my friend and Sister In Spirit Toni and my cousin Karen to my honoring their memories as well. My deepest condolences for all those we have lost their personal battle and to honor those still fighting theirs. I do this in her memory and all those afflicted by this ugly disease whether battling it, or supporting someone and to honor those we have lost in the battle or celebrating their victories.
