We had a very bad experience with this company! Oliver bid a job to build us a porch cover & we told him we could not afford for him to come back later & tell us the job was more than he bid so we needed to make sure he bid the job right the first time. He gave us a bid & a contract that stated 50% up front, 50% at completion. He told us when he gave us the bid if anything else came up he would "cover it" that this was the price. He said he would have it done in 5 days. Day 5 & job not even 50% complete, day 5 he called to say he didn't get his discount on the materials so he ran over 350 & needed to take a draw of 750! We told him we would split the difference on the 350, even though he said he would cover anything else that came up, but we would not give him the 750 as the contract said he would get the remaining 50% at completion, giving him the 750 would have put him with 75% upfront. Several days later, after being a no show on the job, he came while we were not home, took the materials he had not installed, went into the house, got his tools, left the dog outside & the back door open, then proceeded to call & tell my husband that he gave us a 652 discount & we treated him badly because we wouldn't give him the 750 & therefore he didn't want to do business with us. Never finished the job, had to hire someone else to finish who said there was maybe 400 of materials already installed, we gave that man over 1300 up front. Bad business model.
