Our specialty is residential vinyl. We install the 5" by 5" square post by driving them into the ground a minimum of 8" and a maximum of 24", giving them the normal 30"total in the ground. This method is unsurpassed by any installer I have ever known. This method drive's the post into virgin soil. When driven to it's final height, the rest of the dirt is packed in the hole with a tamper. This eliminates the need for concrete. I know the skepticism is coming.
