The mission of Vintage Microstock is to identify, secure, preserve and digitize the world's most significant and rare collections of photos. The oldest surviving permanent photograph of an image formed in a camera was created in 1826 by French inventor Joseph Nicéphore Niépce. The Vintage Microstock collection of images begins shortly thereafter, and extends through the end of the 20th century. Vintage Microstock’s archive spans nearly every era of photographic history. Preserved and organized for you, this collection of millions of images carries with it millions of stories waiting to be told. Archived into easily searchable galleries, categorized and enriched with meta-data telling each image’s own story, this one-of-a-kind collection of vintage photographs has something to offer everyone, everywhere! Vintage Microstock will provide its archive of images to publishers of books, magazines and newspapers, to website and mobile app developers, to television, film and online media producers, to other archivists, collectors and hobbyists and to you, for your own personal use. Vintage Microstock is digitizing its collection of images in the condition in which they were originally created, preserving much of the authenticity with which every photograph was born. Highly advanced photo editing software will not be applied to these photographic relics, though you may choose to alter them in your own special ways or means, after downloading, to meet your individual needs or requirements. Vintage Microstock’s archive of photographs will be priced within Individual Picture Packages or as part of a variety of Subscription Plans, based on intended download volume, not the condition, resolution or subject matter. In both the Individual Picture Packages and Subscription Plans, volume discounts will apply.
