Acton Senior Services strives to assist seniors in making informed choices in regards to their options for supports available for staying in their own With a Masters in Counseling & Guidance, and a Post Masters Certification in Adult Education I am well trained in communicating effectively with a variety of adults and assisting individuals and families making healthy changes in their lives without all the extra stress. As a former Kansas VR Counselor specializing in Transition Services, I have worked a great deal with adults having a wide variety of situations and needs and was able to assist them in gaining the services they needed to have true happiness and quality of life. Service with Respect & Dignity​ 1. Initial consultation in your home or place of choice 2. Full evaluation of current level of functioning and recommendation for specific housing options that fit your physical, mental, and social needs. 3. Assistance in touring communities and/or facilities that meet your specific needs. 4. Assisting you with completing resident agreement paperwork. 5. Assistance with the moving plan, moving day, and initial resident set up. 6. 6 months of follow up visits starting with 2 visits per week for the first 2 weeks, 1 visit weeks 3 and 4, and then bi-weekly visits for the 2nd and 3rd month, then visits reduce to once per month for months 4-6. 7. Same day updates/reporting after each visit will be made available to family or designated friend as agreed to by resident at time services start. Companion Services available for shopping, outings, medical appointments and much more!
