I had a pretty good experience here so like anyone who finds a salon that they think they love, they share with friends and family. However when things go wrong I believe it’s not the fact that it goes wrong because everyone is entitled to a bad day, but it’s the steps that the business owner takes to resolve the issue. I’m deeply saddened to even have to leave a poor review for Fama, however my recent experience was inexcusable, disappointing and extremely unprofessional. I made an appt to have my hair box braided with gray ombré hair with Fama two weeks before my vacation so my hair would be nice and loose for vacation. (Note: This hair is not provided and I spent about $100 in addition to the $200 for the style) A few days after I got my hair braided I noticed a few of them in the back had lots of hair sticking out at the top of the braid. I immediately snapped a few pictures and sent to Fama expressing my concern.She replies “Hi Chrissy, I just saw your messageCan you please call me, I have to explain why that happen. Is not because we did bad job” ( RED FLAG: I never said she did a bad job, but she obviously knows she did) I called her and she tells me because my hair is short that’s why I have hair sticking out. While I have never heard his before I said ok well what can I do to fix this? She replied cut your hair off or mousse. I said well I’m not going to cut my hair off because that’s just not what I want to do. I’ll try the mousse. PLEASE AVOID BAD JOB
