Based on Company glowing reviews, I decided to call Parker Locksmith Store after an unfortunate incident with my foot and a doorknob (you read that correctly -- it's a long story). Erick is the third locksmith I've dealt with here in Gary, IN --- and easily the coolest. His price estimates are far lower than the others I've seen. So what's the catch? There wasn't. He was in and out in within 20 minutes. And in the end, he reassured me that the whole-foot-on-the-doorknob thing is more common than one would think.

Just about everyone was getting these automatic locks for their garage, but mine was still stuck in the last century. Fast, friendly, and professional. I chose Parker Locksmith Store because of their great reviews. Now I understand that these raves are well-deserved! When I called Friday to schedule an appointment for my lock to be switched out (not an emergency), the guy on the phone was absurdly nice--like, apologized-for-putting-me-on-hold nice. He offered me an appointment slot for 9:30-10 on Saturday, and then apologized that he couldn't be more specific than that! Have these guys heard of Time Warner and their four-hour windows? Scott arrived right on time at 9:45 and got to work. He explained how the lock worked, told us everything we needed to know about ordering new keys, and even tightened the doorknob (free of charge) since it was loose. There were no added charges though I’d called Parker Locksmith Store at around 1 am on their helpline 219-728-5179 and asked them to help me regain access to my apartment. Most locksmiths in Gary add a surcharge and charge double the fee if hired after regular business hours. So, when Jack handed me a bill of around $46, it came as a pleasant surprise. Hire them if you’re looking for affordability and quality at the same time.
