Dummer, Lowery & Savarese, PLLC, is an AV peer rated litigation based law firm. The firm is privileged to represent a wide variety of businesses, insurance companies and individuals in its full service civil litigation practice.
Founding member Stephen Dummer came to Gulfport in 2005, as an associate of the well regarded firm Allen, Vaughn, Cobb & Hood, a firm with roots dating as far back as1954. Stephen became a partner of Allen, Cobb, Hood & Atkinson, P.A. in 2010. After serving as a partner with a large regional New Orleans based firm, Stephen formed Dummer & Lowery, PLLC, with C. Elise Hickman Lowery and Jason R. Savarese.
Founding member C. Elise Hickman Lowery, a native of South Mississippi, moved to the Mississippi Gulf Coast in 2007, where she practiced law primarily in the real estate, business and property arenas, then served as a Staff Attorney for the Eighth Chancery Court District and subsequently as Prosecutor for the Harrison County Youth Court. Elise then chose to return to the private sector, expanding her areas of practice and working with a boutique general litigation firm. Elise then joined with fellow Ole Miss Law School Alumni Stephen W. Dummer and Jason R. Savarese to form Dummer & Lowery, PLLC.
Capitalizing on the diverse skill sets and professional experience of its members, the firm developed a broad, full-service litigation practice encompassing maritime law, industrial development, governmental and regulatory law, banking, gaming law, municipal law, international law, family law, estate planning and complex commercial litigation.
The Members of the firm serve in management positions on multiple boards of directors and organizations throughout the state. Through its combined 25 years of practice, the firm offers a unique opportunity to its clients that larger regional based law firms cannot. Because of the firm's distinctive position, individual roots, and involvement in the community, it is able to offer extremely competitive rates while retaining its ability to represent clients along the entire Gulf Coast region. The attorneys’ experience of representing numerous businesses and insurance companies over many years, including numerous recent Hurricane Katrina cases, has helped the firm refine its litigation capabilities.
