A lifelong interest in ritual and celebration led me to become a Deputy Marriage Commissioner at San Francisco City Hall in 2000.

Under the historic rotunda I performed weekly ceremonies for weddings and domestic unions. Prior to this time, I marked important passages in people’s lives as a photographer. I am a certified Life Cycle Celebrant and completed training with the Celebrant Foundation and Institute in Montclair, N.J.
