A lifelong resident of Alaska, Jeanne Mungle has worked in many facets of the Alaskan insurance industry since 1995. Recently, Jeanne opened Alaskan Insurance Agency and Services, LLC, located in Juneau, Alaska where she focuses on Independent Adjuster and Insurance Inspector services. Initially her insurance career began as a property/casualty producer in the family’s insurance agency in Juneau, Alaska, where she specialized in both commercial and personal lines of insurance in the Southeast Alaska region. Her agency and claims experience then led her to serving as the Risk Manager for the State of Alaska. She managed the state’s self-insurance claims program, which included a Worker’s Compensation TPA for time loss and medical only claims. Most recently, Jeanne served as the Deputy Director of the Alaska Division of Insurance. In this role she was a state representative to many consumer and other insurance industry associations related to the regulatory functions of licensing, premium tax reporting and rate/rule and form filings for property/casualty and life/health Insurance, including the National Association of Insurance Commissioners. In addition to Jeanne’s insurance industry experience, she has traveled extensively across Alaska and has worked in government contracting, office and retail space acquisition and planning, disaster recovery planning, strategic planning and marketing to name a few. She also served as the Administrative Services Director for the Department of Commerce, Community and Economic Development, overseeing human resources, information technology, procurement and contracts, budget and fiscal. Her credentials include holding an Independent Adjuster’s license, Property/Casualty Producer’s license and a Real Estate Salesperson’s license. She has also served on the Downtown Business Association Board of Directors as a local business owner. As a lifelong resident of Alaska, Jeanne is not afraid to brave Alaska’s rapidly changing weather conditions. Her philosophy is that of preparedness - you have to have the proper outdoor gear to be comfortable whether it is fishing, berry picking, gardening, or adjusting and inspecting.
