The Montessori Center of South Dayton, Inc. (MCSD) is a private, nonprofit Montessori school devoted to offering a Montessori education to children between the ages of three and nine (pre-K through 3rd grade). MCSD traces its roots to 1964, when it rented space in the Horace Mann School in Dayton and was known as the Montessori School of South Dayton. In 1967, its own facility was built in Kettering. Our student population represents the greater Dayton area. Our diversity is both cultural and geographic among the students and the staff. This diversity adds to the richness of the Montessori experience. The Bison, our school mascot, represents strength, life, a proud heritage, and community.
