Accent Fencing owner, Preston Boydston, and his partner, Jason Barnes, scammed us out of hundreds of dollars. They pretended to set the posts so we would think they had started the job, then came by after dark the same day to collect. I stupidly paid them a deposit without checking the posts. The next day I checked them and realized they weren't set at all! They were too short so were only in the ground about 8 inches. My husband pulled a few out with one hand. After leaving numerous messages for Preston over the course of several days, we left for a few hours then came home to find the fence half installed, using the loose poles. My guess is they thought we would be foolish enough to pay them the rest of the money they quoted. The fence is not at all sturdy. A small gust of wind is sure to send it tumbling down. That's when I read their Yelp reviews and discovered they've scammed people for thousands of dollars so I suppose we're fortunate as it could have been much worse.
