For as long as I can remember, I have loved handcrafted anything; especially jewelry and pottery. I can literally drool over handcrafted items when visiting small cozy towns in rural areas. I recently visited such a place, in the mountains of North Carolina, rich in heritage, history and talents. Lined with shops showcasing artisans work of pottery, jewelry, glass, clothing and so much more. I was in a dream. Craft shows, thrift shops and even museums are a true pleasurable past time. As well as entertaining, these small areas can be so inspirational. Learning the diversity and exciting pairings, I was just amazed at the gemstones and beautiful beads were at my fingertips. Endless selections including Swarovski crystal, turquoise, stones, was all consuming and so exciting!Thus, Margaret Rose Designs was born.
