We're accelerating the transition to sustainable agriculture. Right now we're focused on the plight of the honey bee and challenges faced by beekeeper Bees are crucial to agriculture. Bee colony collapse is a BIG problem worldwide. Until recently, colony collapse has been a problem without a solution, because nobody really knows why and when it's happening. We have created a video based technology that lets us literally visually monitor what goes on at a bee hive all day, every day, and translate hours of video to an easy, visual, real-time summary. EyesOnHives measures hive activity and allows a beekeeper to see the signature patterns of the hive - healthy hives have spike patterns as new baby bees take their first 'orientation' flights each day, sick hives, or hives that are under attack, have different patterns. We're measuring the health and activity of honey bee colonies through video analytics - it’s some pretty cool technology!
