Operating in multiple locations throughout Canaan Valley, West Virginia, Q & A Associates offers three different programs that assist young adults who seek independence and resolution of various personal and professional issues. Each Q & A Associates program works with specific populations and offers targeted services. Applewood Transitions for Young Women houses Q & A clients in the Applewood Inn near Davis, West Virginia. Each client begins by working in the Breakfast Nook restaurant, which is located adjacent to the Inn. She can then progress to other employment opportunities in the area. Outside of the workplace, clients practice a range of life skills and participate in a variety of outdoor activities and/or vocational programs. The Journey WV for Young Men also helps clients build life skills through a combination of work and study. Living on a working farm, these young men also learn to care for crops and/or livestock. Q & A also operates the Cabin Mountain Living Center, a compound of four buildings on approximately 11 acres along the Dry Fork River in Harman, West Virginia. The Center employs two certified life coaches who offer targeted assistance with a range of issues.
